It’s time. For a fresh start.

We have reached that time of the year,

where we try to let go of what we fear,

Perchance turn the leaf over,

In expectation of letting something go forever.

We wait for something to act as our expergefactor,

Thinking it is the cue to step on the accelerator,

The sign to reset our clocks and mental state,

To write new chapters and reshape our fate.

We should instill these ideas into our consciousness,

Ignore the rawgabbits, cockalorums and those who fudgel,

Stop looking at life through your glasses,

And not be naive and set yourself up for disappointment.

Celebrate and rejoice for the arrival of the new year,

Yet expect not massive changes my dear,

Brick by brick, day after day,

Transform your life and keep negativity at bay!
